Delores "Dee Dee" Kennibrew

Delores "Dee Dee" Kennibrew was born in 1945 as Delores Henry. In 1960, at age 15, she was invited to sing in a girl group called the Crystals. The group was formed by a band musician named Benny Wells who would soon become the group's manager. Wells was the uncle of Kennibrew's bandmate Barbara Alston. Although she never sang lead on their songs (her voice was considered too high and soft), she was the only member who stayed in the group from their formation to their disbanding. With the Crystals, she enjoyed a successful (but not very long) career in music. Their hits began to dry up after 1964 and they disbanded two years later. In 1971, Kennibrew and her former bandmates (Dolores "LaLa" Brooks, Mary Thomas, and Barbara Alston) reunited to tour and perform on the oldies circuit. However, in 1973, they disbanded again to devote their times to their families. Since then off and on, she has kept the Crystals active in performing, but as a trio with two non-original members.

Dee Dee Ramone

Dee Dee Ramone, born Douglas Colvin (September 18, 1952 - June 5, 2002) was a founding member of The Ramones, a heavily influential punk band. He was the bassist for the group until 1989 when he left to pursue his rapping career under the name Dee Dee King. He continued to record and write songs for the Ramones untill 1996, when the band retired. In 1987 Colvin started a brief career as rapper Dee Dee King, and then formed The Chinese Dragons as well as Sprokkett with guitarist Richard Bacchus. He reunited with The Ramones one last time in 1996. Colvin was found dead on the evening of June 5th, 2002, by his wife Barbara Zampini ("Barbara Ramone") at his Hollywood, California apartment. A heroin overdose was the official cause of death. He is interred in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood, California. His headstone features the Ramones seal surrounded by the line "I feel so safe flying on a ray on the highest trails above" taken from the song "Highest Trails Above" (by Dee Dee Ramone) from the Ramones album "Subterranean Jungle" (1983). At its base is the quote "Ok...I gotta go now". Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, Dee Dee de:Dee Dee Ramone fr:Dee Dee Ramone nl:Dee Dee Ramone sv:Dee Dee Ramone

    Signing

Hi Dee Dee Warren, I just randomly happened to see that you don't usually sign your edits in talk pages with your user link. It can be done super-fast using four tildes (~~~~). It's usually considered polite to do so. You can even edit your signature in preferences to add anything to it, such as "proprietress of www.preteristlist.com." Cheers! — Asbestos | Talk 19:24, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC) ::You're welcome! I don't think I'll be following the discussion on Preterism for too much longer, but do keep up your work in keeping things NPOV. The article's made me interested, though I had never heard of the subject until now. — Asbestos | Talk 00:06, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC) When you add to my Talk page (or any discussion page), you need to sign it.
