Timothy Beaumont, Baron Beaumont Of Whitley
Timothy Wentworth Beaumont, Baron Beaumont of Whitley (born 22 November, 1928) is a politician in the United Kingdom. He is the only person to sit in the House of Lords as a member of the Green Party.
He is a former Liberal Democrat peer who joined the Green Party in 1999. He objected to the Liberal Democrats support for free trade.
Lord Beaumont of Whitley is a fomer chair of the Liberal Party and was a co-founder of the Green Liberal Democrats. He is a retired Anglican priest in the Diocese of Southwark, who was created a Liberal Life Peer in 1967.
He is a patron of Press for Change.

John Beaumont, 4th Baron Beaumont John Beaumont, 4th Baron Beaumont (1361-1396) served in the French wars against the partisans of Pope Clement VII. He was Knighted by Edward III, and was Warden of the West Marches, Admiral of the North (sea), Constable of Dover Castle, and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. He was a Knight of the Garter and was 'one of the Embassy to France to demand Princess Isabel in marriage for the King'.
Beaumont was born in 1361 at Brabant, in Belgium. In 1389 he married Catherine Everingham (1367-1428) of Laxton, Nottinghamshire, England. His daughter Elizabeth married William Botreaux, father of Margaret Botreux who married Robert Hungerford.

Charles Beaumont Charles Beaumont (January 2, 1929 - February 21, 1967) was a prolific U.S. author of science fiction who frequently wrote for ''The Twilight Zone'' TV series. He was born in Chicago, Illinois as Charles Leroy Nutt to an abusive mother who frequently dressed him in girls' clothes and once killed one of his pets as punishment. Beaumont was an outgoing, spontaneous person, prone to take trips out of country at a moment's notice. At age 34, Beaumont began to suffer from Alzheimer's disease; He died in Woodland Hills, California at the age of 38.

Beaumont, Texas Beaumont is a city in Jefferson County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 113,866.
Oil was discovered at Spindletop near this city on January 10, 1901. Spindletop became the first major oil field. Beaumont was a small center for cattle raisers and farmers in its early years, and, with an active riverport by the late 1800s, it became an important lumber and rice-milling town. The Beaumont Rice Mill, founded in 1892, was the first commercial rice mill in Texas. Beaumont's lumber boom, which reached its peak in the late 1800s, was due in large part to the rebuilding and expansion of the railroads after the Civil War.qv By the early 1900s the city was served by the Southern Pacific, Kansas City Southern, Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe, and Missouri Pacific railroad systems. The population grew from 3,296 in 1890 to 9,427 in 1900.
Beaumont is the county seat of Jefferson County and is in Southeast Texas. With nearby Port Arthur and Orange, it forms the Golden Triangle, a major industrial area on the Gulf Coast.
The Southeast Texas Regional Airport in Nederland, Texas, serves Beaumont and Port Arthur, Texas. Lamar University is based in Beaumont. The city's newspaper is The Beaumont Enterprise.
Gulf States Utilities had its headquarters in Beaumont until its absorption by Entergy Corporation in 1993. GSU's Edison Plaza headquarters is still the tallest building in Beaumont (as of 2004).
Since 1907, Beaumont has been home of the South Texas State Fair. In 2004, the venue for the Fair changed to Ford Park, a new, larger facility on the west end of Beaumont.
