Nate is an ARC trooper whose personality was changed by Jango Fett's former girlfriend
then his name was changed from Nate (A-98) to Jangotat (mandalorian for "Jangos' brother").
Jangotat then gave his life to destroy the five family and thus save a planets population. Nate was leader of one of the few arc squads.

Hi, I'm Nate. My primary contributions are copyediting and finding pages that should be deleted. I've also been known to shrink large graphics with http://pmt.sourceforge.net/pngcrush/ pngcrush to save Wikipedia a few bytes. I've written several pages about my hometown, Portland, Oregon.
AOL Instant Messenger: nhsilva1
Pages I've worked on
Devanagari
Distributed Server Boycott List
Henry F. Phillips
Largest mobile phone companies, T-Mobile, Vodafone
Latin alphabet: created "letter graphics" for A-Z (unfortunately not pngcrushed)
List of mail servers: moved to its own linked page as part of my effort to keep main articles from becoming enumerative lists.
Portland, Oregon, Metropolitan Area Express (Portland, Oregon) and MAX, Portland International Airport, Portland Streetcar, Steel Bridge (a cool picture with the lower deck raised)
S&P 500
Single UNIX Specification (merged from POSIX)
Tram
U.S. Congress (all subpages for "non-voting members")
Unit test
Urban growth boundary and UGB
Vancouver, Washington
Pet peeves
"Some" people (usually "others") are so authoritative, aren't they? ;-)
* There is a tendency for any article with even the slightest hint of controversy to include "opinion dump" sentences like "others point out that...", "critics note that...", "some would say that...". It sounds like a fourth-grade term paper. This is actually a form of my next pet peeve:
Enumerative lists in the main article. Put them in their own section or even their own article.
* This is just me-tooism. Everyone wants
Nate Silva Hello there, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need any questions answered about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or drop me a line. BTW thanks for quickly catching and removing the editorial comment on the Gaia theory page. Cheers! --maveric149

Just a warning, there are over 30,000 US place entries. IMO the extra wording doesn't hurt and is OK if left as-is. --mav

Yeah, I'm hitting random. I changed a couple before I realized that almost every entry now is a fill-in-the-blanks geographic article. Won't change any more of them. --Nate

The pictures look great! I think they will greatly enhance the letter entries, way to go!!! --Dante Alighieri

Nate, what a great idea for the letter pages! It's one of those things that makes you say, "Why didn't ''I'' think of that?" -- Stephen Gilbert 00:19 Nov 27, 2002 (UTC)
:Glad you like it! It was Dante's idea to do it. --Nate 00:30 Nov 27, 2002 (UTC)
::Thanks for the credit, but it was YOU that actually did it. GOOD WORK! --Dante Alighieri

Nate, thanks for reducing the colors on my telecine diagram! (PNG is too generous with colors, and I keep forgetting to do that. ;) I usually try to keep text out of images, though, so they can be copied directly to articles in the other language sections without being relettered. (It is clearer with labels, admittedly.) --Brion 06:06 Jan 19, 2003 (UTC)

About Marylhurst University -- it's not in Portland. It's in Clackamas county between Lake Oswego & West Linn. Unless they've moved it from its traditional location. -- llywrch 05:11 Feb 12, 2003 (UTC)
:Good catch. I'll take it off the Portland page, else we'll have to add George Fox, Linfield, etc. --Nate 17:16 Feb 12, 2003 (UTC)
Well, you were the one who not only corrected my typo about Concordia *University*, but properly disambiguated the link. And I live 3 blocks away from that institute.

Nate Thurmond Nathaniel "Nate" Thurmond (born July 25 1941 in Akron, Ohio) is rated by many one of the very finest defensive centers ever to play pro basketball, feared and praised by legends including Bob Pettit, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Wilt Chamberlain.
He played in high school with another future NBA star, Gus Johnson, at Akron Central. Their powerful team would go undefeated before losing to Middletown and star Jerry Lucas in the Ohio state high school playoffs. Passing on a scholarship offer to Ohio State University to avoid becoming Lucas's backup there, the 6'10" Thurmond chose Bowling Green State University. He starred well enough there to be drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors in 1963 where the aggressive rebounder-defender played forward opposite superstar center Wilt Chamberlain or was his backup. The Warriors moved to San Francisco, California in 1965. When Wilt was traded back to Philadelphia's new 76ers, Thurmond became the All-Star starting center even Wilt said he could be. Star players like Rick Barry and Jerry Lucas came and went, but the Warriors would not win a championship with the talented Thurmond at center. He was traded to the Chicago Bulls and then to Cleveland Cavaliers in the mid-1970s. In Cleveland, the now 35-year-old Thurmond came off the bench for the injured Jim Chones to lead Cleveland to the East Conference Finals before the Cavaliers lost to the star-studded Boston Celtics in 1975.
After retirement, Nate returned to San Francisco and opened a well-known restaurant after a brief attempt at broadcasting. In 1996 he was named one of the http://www.nba.com/history/players/50greatest.html 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, and he remains one of the greatest rebounders and shot blockers in basketball history.

Nate Dogg
Nathaniel Dawayne Hale, also known as Nate Dogg (born 1969) is an American singer and occasional rapper. He began singing as a child in the New Hope Trinity Baptist Church choir where his father, Daniel Lee Hale, was pastor at the time. At the age of 16 he dropped out of high school in Long Beach, California and left home to join the United States Marine Corps where he served for 3 years before being dishonourably discharged. In 1991 Nate Dogg, his cousin Snoop Dogg and their friend Warren G formed a rap trio called 213 which wasn't to release an album until 2004.
Nate Dogg made his debut on Dr. Dre's 1992 album, ''The Chronic''. Singing in what would later become his trademark style, he was well-received by fans and critics alike, and would go on to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. In 1994 he produced his first hit single "Regulate" with Warren G. Nate Dogg released his debut album under Breakaway Records in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records. The double album was titled ''G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2'' and was followed up in late 2001 with ''Music & Me'' on Elektra Records.
However, Nate Dogg has found his greatest success not in solo projects, but in collaborations with other hip-hop artists. As of 2004, Nate Dogg has featured in and contributed to over 60 chart singles.
After a number of delays and an original release date of April 2004, his self-titled album ''Nate Dogg'' was scrapped in mid 2005 and the substantial number of tracks he had already completed were released for sale on the official Elektra website http://www.atlanticrecords.com/natedogg/music/?release=700036 in early June 2005. Nate Dogg has however began work on a new project which will be executive produced by Dr. Dre.

Lieutenant Nately Lieutenant Nately is a character in Joseph Heller's war novel Catch-22.
He starts off the book as a 19 year old lieutenant, who came from a very rich and respected family. His family originally enlisted him to serve in the Air Corps because he would, according to their calculations, not see the war because they believed that it would be over by the time he finished his training, and during his training mingle with "gentlemen". Therefore, Nately could gain the pride of enlisting without actually having to fight. Instead, he mingled with Yossarian and Dunbar, and was sent overseas. His most notable contribution to the book is his involvement with a whore, who is for the most part uninterested in him until he gave her some time to sleep. He is often filled with American optimism, shown by his desire to marry his "whore" and send her kid sister to a respected American college. However, he is killed on a mission over La Spezia.
